University of Louisville’s globe-trotting, adventure-seeking glaciologist Keith Mountain will give a free talk on climate change at the Main Library, 7 p.m., on Sept. 6.

Tickets are required; order online or call 574-1644.

He’s climbed onto glaciers in China, Africa and South America, documenting their decline. He’s also conducted research in Antarctica, Greenland, and here in Louisville â€" including pouring over a database of our local weather statistics to determine that we’re showing signs of global warming, too. So if you are interested in the science of global warming, I recommend his talk.
