Global warming isn't in doubt: Letter - NOLA.com

Re: "Scalise skeptical about climate change," Page A3, Aug. 8.

Reacting to a report by a prominent scientist who was once a skeptic of global warming and climate change but now finds the theory scientifically supported, U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise stated that there is a "vast amount of disagreement in the scientific community."

He did not cite any source of the disagreement. This story was reported in The Times-Picayune on Aug. 8. On Aug. 9 the newspaper ran a story about how farmers and agricultural researchers are reacting to changes in weather patterns. Climate change was reported to be "the new normal."

From where is Congressman Scalise getting his information? Perhaps the congressman's sources and the disagreements are only half-vast.
