Prove global warming

In a letter labeled as global warming evidence, Frederick Dunlap cited as evidence, "98 percent of climate scientists know that global warming is real." Huntsville is filled with scientists and engineers capable of understanding hard data and logical reasoning. We are not sheep to blindly follow someone else's opinion.

I am inclined to disagree with Mr. Dunlap because he assumes that I am too stupid to follow a scientifically rigorous argument. The rest of the letter basically says that anyone who disagrees with him is stupid and he dislikes them.

I am amazed that he thinks his letter persuades anyone to agree with him, but he is not alone. Our modern society seems to be overrun with left and right wingnuts who think that screaming insults is a persuasive form of argument.

Earth's natural cycles

When I see a letter to the editor mention "global warming" six times and say the media is lap dogs for Republicans, the writer is oblivious to reality. Global warming and cooling have always happened and always will. Natural cycles, and other factors out of our control have far more to do with the climate than anything mankind does.

Read, "The Greatest Hoax: How the Global Warming Conspiracy Threatens Your Future," or view Youtube and type in "If I wanted America to fail." The agenda of the radical environmentalists that want to take over our lives is in full swing.

When you hear the line about a high percentage of climate scientist saying something, they ignore Climategate, where the inside "experts" manipulated data, changed numbers, and hid information all to make their radical global warming agenda have the propaganda they wanted, even when facts stated otherwise. To claim this movement isn't political, is naïve at best, and a complete fraud in reality.

Obama stated that under his plans our electricity prices would necessarily skyrocket, and by him shutting down coal production, preventing drilling in many places offshore and in federal lands, blocking the Keystone pipeline, and not doing anything about nuclear power, we're headed toward that.

If you want us to stop being the only country to not use our own resources to help ourselves, vote for Mitt Romney and fire our anti-American president.
