I noted in your "News of the Past" some interesting statistics from 50 years ago. You reported a temperature of 106 on Aug. 15 of that year, which was "nowhere near the all-time high for the month of 1161Ã2 recorded on August 1, 1914." It went on to report that "Chico's all-time high monthly average was in July 1931, when there were 23 days of 100 or over and 17 days of 105 or over."
Based on these figures, I have to wonder if "global warming" is really something new or just a cyclical climate change due to many factors that have nothing to do with human carbon emissions.
