Once again, World Environment Day (WED) is fast approaching, with it's arrival being Tuesday, June 5. It is known as a world-wide holiday to raise awareness about environmental problems across the globe.
Much like Earth Day celebrations, WED celebrations began in the early 70's and have included tree plantings, rallies, political meetings, parades, and more.
Since 1987, World Environment Day has been hosted by a different city every year, with celebrations that match the year's proposed theme. This year WED will be hosted by Brazil and the theme will be âGreen Economy: Does it include you?â.
But is this holiday truly one of kind intent? Perhaps it's just another Eco-friendly holiday. Or, could it just be another push for the âglobal warmingâ agenda?
It is the now growing belief that global warming was a hoax to push lucrative carbon taxes and other measures that would do nothing to help the environment. It instead aims to line the pockets of investors and politicians while conditioning the public to the idea that mankind is a parasite, like it or not, mostly harming the planet.
Most of the facts once used to argue in support of the global warming theory, however, have been proven to be outright false or can be easily countered. Many scientists are now coming around and beginning to confirm that the idea of the Earth heating up, like never before, is completely false.
Even the Weather Channel's founder has come forward to admit global warming was just a ploy to impose world carbon-taxes by the leaders of the UN.
One example is the fact that our annual global temperature averages are not even as high as they were several centuries ago. The Medieval Warm Period was a time when the Earth was much warmer than our current climate, and life was flourishing.
In addition, it was proven that the last actual notable climate change period was in 1998, caused by El Niño. Even more reason to realize that uncontrollable, natural causes, like the sun and ocean currents are the main drivers of the daily climate humans experience.
Since El Niño we have had no true influx of temperature, and many speculate that the Earth has actually been cooling. Much like the coming âice ageâ we were all warned about in the 1970's.
One of the greatest cases against global warming, however, is the "Climategate" scandal. When e-mails of several scientists within the heads of the global warming community at the UN were intercepted and likely leaked online, likely by an internal whistle-blower.
Within the e-mails there was evidence of how the actual numbers of global temperatures had to be altered in order for the public to believe actually in global warming. Not unlike how everyone was originally led to believe Iraq had something to do with the 9/11 âterroristâ attacks.
But these are not the only cases against global warming that have surfaced over the Years. Indeed, this truly is a mere fraction of the legitimate arguments that can be made against the largely unproven science.
Incredibly, despite the astounding amount of creditable scientific data against it, the push for global warming by 'the powers that be' continues.
Even World Environment Day, itself, has had themes through out the years that have also been geared toward promoting global warming. Themes going as far back as 1989, with titles like global warming (1989), Climate Change, Need for global Partnership (1991), Melting Ice â" a Hot Topic? (2007), and CO2 Kick The Habit â" Towards A Low Carbon Economy (2008).
Many organizations like the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the United Nations (UN) also continue to push the global warming argument, but now under more marketable names like Climate Change, Climate Crisis or Climate Disruption.
World Environment Day is sponsored by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), not surprisingly themselves a major supporter of the global warming Theory.
While the premise that we need to address environmental issues is good, doing so at the potential expense of the already struggling US taxpayer for the personal gain of Al Gore and his buddies via carbon taxes, is not.
The millions that would be made via so called prevention plans and regulations, which can never really do much to mitigate environmental problems, are the clear and obvious motivator.
Taxing corporations and other so-called pollution makers can only serve to raise prices for consumers eventually, again boiling down the poor and middle class shouldering the brunt of yet another âtransfer of wealth.â
Programs like these also serve as excellent public conditioning, by having a holiday to make the stated environmental theme the status quo and further pushing the ideals and propaganda.
By having to address these issues as a crisis, they eventually force it to become part of our daily lives.
The same has been done with Cancer âAwarenessâ Month. The idea of cancer and the multimillion dollar cancer pharmaceutical treatments are almost so normal nowadays, nobody stops to question why cancer is now so prevalent among the young and why we can never seem to find a cure, despite the billions of dollars spent in research every year.
In the end, it comes down to this question; is World Environment Day just a giant propaganda holiday? The evidence seems to hint at that, if not at least cause major suspicion.
With the rapid decline in public belief in global warming, however, it is likely that this holiday is just another avenue to continue integrating the idea into our psyche.
However, it is perfectly possible that World Environment Day is just a holiday of good will to help the Earth. Then again, the road to Hell, as they say, is almost always paved with good intentions.
